Utmost respect for my daughter's teacher, who is also an Assistant Head. She has always had the wellbeing and progress of her students at heart and wants nothing more than to increase the school's prestige and see her students reach their maximum potential. If this is testament to all staff, then I don't see a problem with this school.

This school has some challenging behaviour, as do all schools, but it appears to be well managed.

I have read these reviews and everyone is entitled to their opinion but my experience was the total opposite. The head is so supportive and I am truly grateful for the support he gave me while I worked at the school. I thoroughly enjoyed working at Parkgate and will remember it with fond memories.

Even though this has got a bit out of control, I want to say my bit. Every school has its faults and issues and the lack of funding can make any school a difficult place to work at the moment. However, I think it’s fair to say that a lot of people have left this school due to the behaviour of the headteacher and his treatment of staff. His micromanagement, lack of trust and mood swings make it a very uncomfortable and exhausting place to work. You never really know where you stand because something that is encouraged one day will be questioned the next. Unfortunately it’s impossible to reason with him and any attempts to explain how you feel are met with a wall of defence and hostility. Ultimately, you can never win and are never good enough. Anyone who has worked there knows the truth and the level of turnover speaks for itself.

I regularly visit this site and wanted to contribute once I saw that this school was suddenly being reviewed over and over again. I do not appreciate being cancelled or bullied because I am not part of this coordinated effort to destroy a person. I think it's shameful and actually, trolling is not what this site is about. I had a good experience and I am allowed to voice my opinion.

I’m unable to be controlled by anyone at anytime 😂 but especially not by anyone related to these posts, as believe what you want, but I do not work (and never have done) at this place! And I can’t speak for the other positive reviews, but I am quite content that what I posted is not related to the others!

The fact that websites like this lose any real benefit with such behaviours (as you just then get real positive responses, which just starts to dilute everything). By all means score low and back it up with some facts, but some of this represents the same type of bullying behaviour that people are complaining about.

Most of the staff are very friendly and the children are wonderful.

Horrific management. There is no communication between SLT and the rest of the school staff. The headteacher is a bully, takes no responsibility for his actions, and has zero respect for his staff. The school has a huge staff turnover because nobody wants to stay under his control. Do not work here!!!

Just read through the reviews and I find it interesting that the ‘positive’ (false positive) reviews are posted within 20 mins of each other! Almost as if people have been instructed to write them- a deep reflection of the controlled, negative environment cultivated in this so called school. What a joke. Seriously, for your sanity and mental wellbeing, avoid. This is my first review and I’m so glad I got round to leaving one and trying to counteract the propaganda being posted here!

I have never worked in a school where staff meetings are a genuine pleasure and not a chore. The children are at the centre of everything here and that's not for everyone.

I would give this place no stars if I could. What a horrendously emotionally draining experience. I left a while back but only just starting to feel myself get over the trauma inflicted by this place and the head’s micromanagement, bullying and constant critique. Avoid. Literally find any other job, in any other place.

Very high turn over of staff due to being unhappy and very under appreciated. Staff well-being is never considered by SLT. Behaviour of students is poor due to behaviour policy and SEN support is minimal.

Everything. Toxic working environment with an egotistical, narcissistic headteacher who bullies and belittles staff. Most people leave here as shells of their former self and too much goes unchallenged. None to little support from senior leadership in regards to bad behaviour and SEN children. Staff approach management with a problem and are gaslit and patronised into thinking they are the problem. Ridiculous turn over of staff.
