Pros

Lovely children and parents. Worked in a great team with other teachers (not SLT)

Cons

The leadership team, including the Headteacher and SLT, has created a challenging and unsupportive environment for staff. There have been reports of staff concerns and illness being dismissed with little regard, with responses such as "oh" when serious issues are raised. Additionally, SLT has been observed shouting at staff members during PPA time, further contributing to a hostile atmosphere. The Headteacher's engagement with students is minimal, and it is concerning that the Headteacher does not know the names of the students. There are instances where students are unaware of who the Headteacher is, and the Headteacher rarely steps in to provide support or engage in conversations with them. This lack of personal connection with the students further demonstrates the disconnect between leadership and the school community. Teachers are often subjected to support plans based on the not being able to complete tasks or meet expectations that have not been clearly communicated. These plans are frequently linked to an arbitrary checklist of "the days lane way" tasks that have not been adequately discussed or outlined. This leads to an environment where teachers feel micromanaged, with their lessons subjected to frequent and harsh drop-ins that focus on tearing down their work rather than offering constructive feedback or support. Staff well-being is not prioritised, and when issues are raised, the SLT typically responds by increasing their scrutiny rather than offering meaningful solutions or support. This results in added stress and an increased workload for teachers, rather than fostering a collaborative or supportive atmosphere.

Pros

Absolutely none!

Cons

The worst head teacher I have ever encountered. A bully who has no interest in child welfare. Very unusual to find a headteacher despised by staff and parents in one school. The level of bullying by senior staff to less experienced teachers and parents is astounding ,A disgrace they should be removed asap

Pros

Two pros- Lovely children and supportive parents.

Cons

Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the Headteacher. She is a bully! SLT are too scared to confront her behaviour, so they allow her to get away with her discriminating and unprofessional antics. Governors turn a blind eye to the heads behaviour despite several complaints and a ridiculous high turnover of staff.. The thought of working at this school sends shivers down my spine. My advice to anyone considering this school is to run! Run away and never look back. The headteacher will make your life a misery! I hope that someday, someone will realise that this headteacher shouldn’t be allowed to work with people, let alone children! To sum it up, I’d rather work in hell!

Pros

Children are wonderful and parents are supportive. The school is well resources

Cons

Toxic headteacher and deputy lapdog. Very cliquey staff with ‘favourites’. Head is a bully. Divides to conquer. Does everything face to face to avoid a paper trail showing evidence of her bullying. Governors have had several staff leave and make complaints about her in particular but nothing ever done. Unrealistic expectations on staff. High staff turnover. Worst school worked in, in 20 years of teaching.
