"Tough school"
Pros
Lessons are prepared so good for workload. Staff are professional and work well collaboratively.
Cons
Behavioural system doesn’t work. Students run rife. Depressing place to work as teaching is nearly impossible due to poor systems and awful mob-like behaviour. School short of teachers so they do not follow workplace legislation and my timetable changed every single day that I worked there and that was a permanent position. In one week, I only had 30 mins free/preparation per week as SLT make you patrol first and last 2 minutes of your one PPA/week. SLT set your timetable so no one to raise this to in query. Also two late meetings/mandatory meetings per week. Toughest kids I’ve encountered in the world.
