Pros

Great behaviour policy. Students have their moments but for the most part delightful to work alongside. Great career progression opportunities. Diverse team where differences are celebrated. Would 10/10 recommend working here. A lot of outside entities are there to support the children.

Cons

Some parts are not as up to date as they could be. More time within faculty. Needs more pleasant collaborative working spaces (staff hub).

This is a really toxic place to work with very little teaching support and some really deeply unpleasant members of support staff who are simply nasty hateful and get a kick out of being on a power trip the words bullying culture springs to mind.. The place is old with poor facilities and feels unhygienic and grubby. Cleaned my classroom myself everyday with my own cleaning products. Just before I left there was an incident where some members of staff were recorded on teams having a highly sexualised conversation during a strike day teams lesson.. it went out on lots of social media. Those members of staff were not fired!!! How does that promote good and appropriate behaviour amongst the student body.. if the teachers get away with it why shouldn’t they? The whole experience of working here left I bad taste in my mouth and I couldn’t get out quick enough. When I left they were in special measures mainly due to safeguarding. Much happier in my new school where I’m now HOD an opportunity I never would have had there as my face simply didn’t fit and they wernt shy about letting me know that. . I wouldn't work for another school under the Greenwood Academies umbrella again . Avoid this school at all costs. It’s toxic unpleasant and soul destroying .
